American Steel & Wire Company wasfounded around 1899 by Elbert Henry Gary, who purchased several competing barbed wire companies in order to limit competition and drive up prices. In 1901, American Steel and Wire became a subsidiary of the U.S. Steel Company. This original memo book is used. Calendar in back. Great graphics! Hard to find bit of agricultural history! Measures approximately 5 1/4" x 2 3/4". White areas have tanning consistent with age. One staple binder has pulled through causing a loose and torn binding on the lower half. 2 pages toward the back have been partially torn out. Cover is worn but intact. Dog eared with plenty of interesting writing. See photos for best description. Thanks for looking! Advertising box 4
