Union Carbide ran a series of ads in the early-mid 1950s, each a painting of different locations and items, each with a large hand or two doing something. It is a series of “Union Carbide has a hand in…” ads. This one is about chemicals used in the food growing industry. The ad shows a hand spraying an apple orchard. Ad text starts “Complexion care for apples” and goes on about better food through chemistry.
