THIS LISTING DOES NOT INCLUDE A HAT. Offered here is a vintage strip of cloth sewn into a band. One side pictures two cotton bolls, and is embroidered: "FARMERS CO-OP GIN CHILDRESS, TEXAS." (Childress is a small town of about 7,000 resident. It is located in the Texas Panhandle.) I'm not exactly sure WHAT the intended use for this originally was, but my best "GUESS" is that this is a hat band for a western / cowboy hat.(?) One picture above shows in on a hat, but THE HAT S NOT INCLUDED. It has a little soiling and fading, but still displays very nicely. When laid flat (as seen in the first picture) it measures 11 & 3/4 inches long and 2 & 1/4 inches wide. It fits securely around the base of an adult sized cowboy hat. It appears to "have some age on it," and is guaranteed to be old to your satisfaction. I could not find another example in my online searching. I am here to help you with any questions!
